I will overwhelm 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote next month's bout.

Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
